this unit has been changed to 12v with a 12v round coil and electronic ignition, ,starts well, idles well and responds to throttle, but when operating under travelling load only it hesitates when throttle is advanced to speed up. after the initial hesitation it runs well again,adjusting hi speed jet on the Zenith carb doesnt eliminate this problem, there is a little slop in gov to carb rod, where should I be looking to make a fix thanks.

boler76 .If there is a slop in gov to carb rod and governor spring and arms,get a new correct length carb rod,take the slack out of the spring at idle position.All the slop causes the carb butterfly to jump wide open all at once thus causing the hesitation,also check the ignition timing,or just advance it with the screw on the side of your distributor and test it out again.
