not sure if sputtering is the right word to describe what my 9n is doing, but when running i notice a kind of sputtering sound more so when not under load or moving. I have changed/check points condenser and coil. have good spark on each plug. have not done a compression check or messed with the carb at all. not sure how to put a video up to hear what im talking about. any ideas on where would be best to start?

tmcguire........keep yer itchy-twitchy fingers off'n them handy-dandy carb tweek'ums. They aintchur problem as described. When ya changed yer points (0.015) didja clean the INVISIBLE CORROSION from between the points? Me? I'd stick a corner of $1-bill (cheap) between the points and PULL. Simple, eh? Would it surprize you to learn condensers and coils seldom go bad? Points, yes. While Ford compression specs are 90-psi (min), most good runnin' N's run about 110-psi, and brandy new about 125-psi. Finally, change yer sparkies AGAIN!!! Ya FLOODED 'em and with todays additive filled gas, will be difficult to generate sparkies. Don't throw'em away, just clean'n'dry 'em, one-atta-time in HOT running engine and save'um fer the NEXT time. (and there will be a next time) Recommend AutoLite 437's gapped 0.025. .......HTH, Dell, yer self-appointed sparkie-meister
