What size filler neck for the rad?

The locking ridge on my radiator neck is buggered up something good and doesn't allow the cap to seal properly. I've tried reshaping it but some of the metal is worn off.

I see that necks are available online but I'm not sure what diameter the 2N needs. Anyone have a clue?

More info needed. Is it an early 9N, 2N, 8N?, or NAA? Radiators on the early 9Ns were the non-pressurized style and used a special cap made by STANTZ. The new 2N-8805 pressurized radiator (4 PSI), was released for 1943 production and replaced the prior model and used up til 8N production. Why not take the radiator to your trusty local rad-fix-it shop and have them fix it and while at it boil it and get it back to new again??? Since it is already boogered up, why compound the issue and make it worse? That's what I'd do, either that or find a used original one and restore it. Suggest you stay away from the 'new' ones sold today though -issues with fit and function exist.

I.D. 1.800 (its worn out and oval) 1.800 to 1.825

The biggie Depth 1".... (that's not a standard run of the mill depth as I pointed out in another post...

When and checked some junker radiators the neck is standard size for most automotive radiators except for the depth... A standard automotive cap fits it except for the depth. Standard automotive depth is 3/4"... You need 1" depth to use a OEM cap...

I dunno why they list them at 2-1/4 all I measured run 2.210 to 2.220... I speck they just round them off...
