I have a late 41 9n. Ser# 85407
It is very original as from what I've read on John Smith's website.
Correct (1941) fenders, dash, ignition key spot, generator, dip stick locations (although it came with flat dipsticks instead of round),nickle plating on gear shift nob and 3 point knob and throdle knob.correct choke nob, headlights were an accessory but I have the older big lens lights.
Everything seems original and correct except it came with a grill with slotted center bar.and not the solid "41"
My question is, should this late 41 tractor have a solid center "41" grill.or did they start using the 42 grill early?
In the end I don't care what grill it has ,but I have everything apart now for a repaint. So now would be best time to make a swap if i wanted to.
Thanks in advance for anyones thoughts.
