From reading on the interweb, I know that the 42 2N only came with the 19 inch front wheels. Or the steel wheels, but that isn't what I am asking about.
Mine seems to have a hybrid, welded together front rims. It seems someone has in the remote past, cut out the 19 inch center sections and welded them into 16 inch rims. The welds look crappy but seem to be structurally sound. I am the third owner. Original owner was 90 plus years old when he sold the tractor so he is probably the culprit!
What I want to know is if any aftermarket company sells a 16
Inch rim with the 1942 5 bolt pattern? If yes, then I'll buy, if no, then I'll keep these hybrid rims and grind, weld,
And keep these running! It has brand new 16s on the front! So I don't want to throw away perfectly good tires.
