1939 ford 9n

Picked up a nice 1939 9n last week. Was used at a deer camp in Pa for dragging deer out of the woods and hauling firewood. Planning to put back some of the original equipment
like smooth hubs, 32's, change back to 6 volt system,4 spoke steering wheel, grille. It has the nicest tin I've seen in a long time. I did clean off the bird poop before I took
the photo. At least the owner had the sense not to paint it like an 8n.

Yes I was surprised the tin wasn't all banged up. He had chains on it so maybe that slowed him down. You have to see the 8n at our deer camp. The boys put that one thru the ringer.

That's one heck of a find. A friend of mine has # 9963 and has been trying to sell it to me for the last few years. I guess for the money he is is asking I should go ahead and buy it. Doubtful that I will ever find anouther early one here in Florida.

Left brake pedal was removed so I could take the homemade hand brake that the PO installed. I took the photo before reinstalling the brake pedal which is back on the tractor now.

A guy I know just got a 2 digit one last year out of Alaska. So never say never and don't stop looking. Can you post a photo of 849?

That 39 is in such good condition.looks great.are there any aluminum parts on it?

hope you share a pic when you've put your finishing touches on it .

Never got to see the front.what grill does it have? I'm in search of a 41 grill but can't justify paying for a aftermarket reproduction.

Just the steering box, dash and side cover are aluminum.
The grill is a standard style later model grill like on the 2n. Original '41 grills in nice condition are getting harder to find. Dennis Carpenter has them but they are even more than the aluminum grill.
