Good evening,
I am posting photos and information regarding the different designs of N series ring gears I have found for sale. The first one I bought was from Yesterday's Tractor and I contacted them and they replied the manufacture of it says it is correct.
I believe the bevel is on the wrong face of the teeth and the big chamfer on the front (engine side) will ride up on the groove/undercut on the flywheel possibly causing a little expansion to result in slippage.
I do know Yesterday's Tractor used to sell them with the teeth bevels and ID chamfer on the same side because it is of topic in older postings.
The gear from ebay I believe to be correct.
There are also gears with no bevel on the teeth, or bevels on both sides of the gear.
Use this information how you wish or provide detail.
Thank you.
