Ive used my 8N front trailer ball to move a utility trash trailer around my property, a fishin boat, and a pop up camper with no problems. But now I have a new 30ft RV that I want to move in and out of the barn when needed. Its too hard of a turning angle to use my truck. So my question is how much tounge weight would be too much for the tractor? The RV tounge weight is like 600lbs. Thanks!

BJ........understand yer problem. Yer BIGGEST problem is finding a 2-5/16 ball that'll fit the HOLE in the front grill guard. They make a 3-ball hitch that you kenn change ball sizes depending upon trailer needs. I hadda UPHILL push to gitt my outboard into the side parking area next to the barn. In yer case, I'd probably INCREASE the tire pressure to sumptin' like 40psi and you'll probably be golden. You may need rear weight on yer 3-point to counter balance the weight of yer trailer.......HTH, Dell, yer self-appointed weigh-meister

We were using our 640 with a ball
on brush guard but was able to
find a 3 point attachment to move
trailers and our gooseneck. The
one we got also had a spear for
moving round bales. Makes moving
trailers easy ,never have to get
off tractor. Maybe worth looking
into.

The front ball on my 641 bumper sits to high for most trailers. Might sit lower on a 8n. I made a trailer mover for the 3 point hitch. I keep a 2" ball on it and a 2 5/16" on top for goose necks. Also have chain hooks welded to it so I can use the lifting action to pull up trees, fence post, etc.

BJ....I haven't seen your 8N's front bumper, but I'm pretty sure the bumper on mine would bend under 600# tongue weight.
