Problem in the dist. Points not closing. Springy thang not making contact. Short where the condenser wire attaches, etc.Remove the dist and
use a ohm meter to check out all the connections.
 
Tmcguire,Reset the gap .015 all 4 lobes first check for side play in the shaft(worn bushings) then clean and polish your points with a folded dollar bill or a business card between the closed contacts.
