I was up in the woods in the back of my property spraying when my 8n started sputtering, could barely keep it running. Check the gas, 1/2 full. Limped on back to the house and made in to the lawn when it died. Got the 2n and hooked up a strap to pull it back to the barn. My wife usually sits in the tractor seat and does the steering but she was busy with work so I tried to pull myself a little bit at a time. After almost hitting the pool with the tractor I figured I better put together a drawbar for when my wife is not available to do the steering and cause I'm always moving tractors around anyway. I built this using an 11 hole drawbar and some scrap stuff I had laying around. It can also be turn around used to move dead tractors from the rear.
BTW it was as I thought cheapo points. The piece that rides on the dizzy that opens the point gap is made of cheap material and after about 6 to 8 months of use wears down and closes the gap. I have NOS ford points I got from a closed dealership for replacement.
