Now I know what ORC really stands for;
Overreacting Clutz.
Upon further examination I discover that I had not pushed the split pin deep enough, or too deep . . . whichever.
Another item to add to the Newbies list of safety precautions.
• Before installing zerks, be sure ORC will freewheel.
Looks like my shaft has already been upgraded to 1 3/8".
