OT - Nephew's first carb rebuild

My nephew finished his first carb rebuild tonight.
Still in his neck brace from the roll over accident.
It's for the first tractor he bought himself, a JD B.

We'll get it installed and tested this weekend.
If it runs as good as he made it look, we'll both be happy!

Royse,It looks like your Nephew has picked up quality mechanical and workmanship ethics from a good teacher.

Remember(The Funny Manns) tv show from the 60s,that cut to old silent films. The program would always begin with Cliff Norton as some type of handyman, whether it was a painter, repairman, or even a plumber, and as he began dialog, he would use the lines "I Learned Everything I know from my Uncle" and "Alright, who's the Funny Man?" Then, it would cut to the edited silent films.

"I Learned Everything I know from my Uncle Carb Man"

Now let him start on the DC case as the throttle bearing hasn't been replaced since 1951
Down to the swath board on the Dearborn mowerm

Good looking rebuild, and a great tractor. My flywheel start JD-B went away shortly after my left rotator cuff went away. I was sorry to see them both go. I learned on a B - even the part about not spreading at speed with the wind at your back. Now the only JD I have is a 729 garden tractor. The Fords are an 871 and an 3000, and a NH Boomer 8N serial number 33 that came to me via Canby Illinois. It now sports a loader, dual remotes (one runs up to the loader at choice) and serious rear weight. It served well after the late winter storm that took 29 trees (I think my SIL fell in love a second time). I intend to take the grapple off and put the bucket on this afternoon. I have to wait on wife and grandchild before such foolishness - SWMBO gets a bit owly if I do stuff when she is not here. Apparently the time or two I have fallen and broken body parts has her concerned.
