Folks, I've already reviewed the 2015 discussion about removing the generator from a 9n/2n, but I'm still stuck and hoping you can help me out.
The bolt with the tensioner spring doesn't turn more than a few rotations before wanting to stop, and neither direction seems to loosen the belt (at least enough that I can tell).
1. There was a mention in the previous thread about a cotter pin. Is there indeed something I have to remove/adjust before I can loosen the belt with that tensioner belt?
2. Can someone definitively say which direction I need to turn the bolt to loosen it?
I actually did this on the same tractor ~30 years ago, and just don't remember...
Thanks!
Steve
