June 6, 1944, Normandy Beach, France. In case there are any millenials reading this. Here yet is another reason why we stand when the "Star Spangled Banner" is played. Thank you all who served, and remember especially all those who gave their all defending our freedoms...

My Uncle was flight engineer on a B17 out of Italy and my only cousin was killed in Holland. I care.

I had two brother in laws who were in the invasion. One was a glider pilot and one was in the infantry. Both survived.

Also my mom's birthday, she was fourteen when D-Day happened. Eighty seven years old today. My how time flies.

My mom's birthday was November 11 - Armistice Day. When she was really young, she thought the church bells were ringing for her birthday.
