Just rebuilt my starter and before bolting it back on thought it
would be a good idea to look at the condition of the fly wheel.
The starter still doesn't engage like it should making a whining
noise more than turning over the engine. The starter bendix
was in good shape. It appears that the back side of a lot of the
flywheel teeth are worn off. See photo. Is the condition of my
fly wheel flywheel the reason why the starter spins too much.
