I posted this on the Paint and Bodywork forum so I thought I would post a link to it here. I hope it helps others, it worked for me and I am pleased with the results and it was fairly easy to do.

Nice post . It is good to know a few methods to do a task . Some methods are easier than others based on the skill of the user . I have heard of people using a wide foam brush and making one pass . My fine painting skills have received compliments like " At least it won't rust" and "It will blend in nicely in ten years"
