...typical, '...ran when parked...' selling point. Caveat Emptor??? If it ain't cracked, price can't be beat really.

I listed a complete 8N side mount engine here for $300 OBO.
Governor, water pump, fan, pulleys, flywheel, clutch, manifold,
carb, oil filter/canister and lines, starter, etc.
Engine was free and could be barred over but had too much
compression to turn it by hand from the fan/belt very far. It was
full of oil and antifreeze that were not mixing. I had no way to
fire it up on an engine stand to prove that it ran or would even fire.
No one would touch it.
Their loss. I put a tractor together out of spare parts and that
engine ran like a top with 40+ PSI of oil pressure.
If I could have showed them that, I'm sure it would have sold.
Maybe I should have painted it blue?
I sold the whole tractor for $1200 with everything working.
I even threw in an I&T manual. But it was still an ugly tractor.
Buyer and seller both happy so it worked out well.
