On my 1953 Golden Jubilee Fly wheel there are two sets of timing marks both have degrees inscribed. On one side there is an additional BTC inscribed. Which side is used for setting the distributor timing?

thanks ever so much!
Sam

Take the spark plugs out, roll it over by hand while holding
your thumb (or an assistant's) over #1 spark plug hole.
#1 being closest to the radiator.
When it blows your thumb off the hole, that is compression
stroke. Mark and use the timing marks that show up then.

Sam,It can also be timed on #4 to timing light hooked to #4,#4 TDC compression stroke, the other set of marks that is on the flywheel.Just so you know the reason for two sets of timing marks.

And use a slotted screwdriver to fine tune/move flywheel to the advance you want (degrees).
