A HUGE! thanks to everyone on here. I had pushed what at the time I thought was my grandfathers old jub with tracks and a Davis front loader into the garage to bring it back to life after about 10 years of sitting, half of which was outside uncovered in upstate NY. After taking the loader off and putting a new battery in it, it actually started and ran, I drove around the yard with it. Put it back inside and began what I told my wife was "working on the tractor" it was really a labor of love. I have been a mechanic for john deere, cat, and pegson but I've never had as much fun working on something before. The simple strong design was fun to work on and learn about. Anything not covered in the manual that I had, I googled and I quickly learn that all the searches landed me at the same website. The community here is in a word AMAZING! So much knowledge and experience to draw from. Everything from exact numbers, tips on better ways to do things, thanks to you all I was able to figure out that grandpa's jubilee was actually a 600, with a well done 12v conversion. So with some new points rotor and cap, plugs and wires, start switch and ignition switch along with a fresh starter to spin it a little faster the rest was up to me. The memories of summer days spent with grandpa cutting firewood and hauling it with the tractor have grown now to include time teaching my son what a real carburetor is and how to take it apart and clean it, not like the throwaway ones on everything now. And teaching him to solder and tin wire as we made a new wiring harness. Here it is 25 years later and that same ford tractor is making more memories in this family. But a large part of that goes to this website and the people on here. All the information and the people here sharing it are again, AMAZING! Thanks to everyone
