Aftermarket Exhaust/Muffler

How many of you run "aftermarket" exhaust on your N's? If you do, pictures are a must. Never seen glasspacks on a tractor
before!! After I pondered for a while why someone put a glasspack on a tractor now I kind of want to know what it sounds like.

Since you posted a link to a JD I guess it's ok to post a photo of a Ford.
I bought this 4000 some years ago that had a similar glass pack on it.
But it had spun a rod bearing and was locked up tight so I never did hear it run.
Just replaced the engine in it with another one I had and used a different muffler.
The glass pack layed around behind the garage for a time and I finally sent it off with some other scrap.
Myself, I try to quiet them as much as I can.

sorry, no pics, but they look just like UltraDogs pic.
JD 40T, Farmall Super C, and a Ford N, all have Cherrybomb brand mufflers.
The JD and the SC I used them because I had them laying around from my go-fast days. The N had one brazed in place of the stock under floorboard muffler when I got it.
I like em, they quiet the tractor about the same as an aftermarket tractor muffler, a little deeper in sound.
The older CherryBomb ones are also far thicker metal, and have seamless construction....probably last forever.

My '55 960 had what looked like a glass pack & vertical pipe on it when I bought it, but I was told by someone on this site that there was an aftermarket muffler offered that only looked like a glass pack. It was nice & quiet, but I replaced it w/a stock rear exhaust.

This is interesting. Glasspacks on a tractor seem to be a lot more popular than I would have guessed. Now I REALLY want to hear one!

"Now I REALLY want to hear one!"

When I first bought my Jubilee with the loader, it had a vertical
exhaust with a catalytic converter on it. No muffler at all.
I never heard what it sounded like because I DIDN'T want to
hear it! Scrap price on the CC nearly paid for a new exhaust. ;)
