Bought this one as a non-runner with a Hupp step up.
This one was also a non-runner when I bought it. The engine now
runs very well, but the clutch was badly stuck to the flywheel.
I tore the first one all apart to use for parts but since I had to
take the second one's engine out to replace the clutch, I decided
to put the formerly non-running engine from #1 into #2 and
see how it went. Runs surprisingly well, 3 pt and PTO work,
12V conversion was already on it with an original loop ammeter.
Many parts got swapped all over the place The new (paper stickers
still on) tires and rims from #2 went on my 3000 cab tractor.
The engine from #2 will go in my other 8N while I rebuild its
current engine to eliminate a little smoke and low hot idle oil
pressure. The rear end, hydraulics and rims/tires have already
helped out several local guys with stuff they needed.
Then I'm still left with this one as the end result of parts
swapping. Not sure what I'm going to do with it, but its alive.
