Fuel leak continued...

I installed a new sediment bowl assembly - (purchased from Yesterdays Tractors)and I noticed that it dripped into the bowl when the valve is closed. The drip is about 1 drip per 15sec. Is that enough to put any pressure on the carb. float over time? Perhaps when the bowl is full that is enough back pressure to keep the leak from happening?

Probably a very small issue but why would a new part drip when valve is closed ?

Because it's either defective or it was assembled incorrectly with insufficient torque on the stem nut.

The nut that holds the stem in keeps it from leaking. You need to find the happy medium of ?to tight? (the knob won?t turn) or ?to loose? (it leaks).

You might try an 1/8th of a turn. Be careful or you will fix it 'til it breaks.

Too tight is probably the problem since it is very tight to open and close. So it's probably not closing - seating all the way due for that reason.
Thanks!
