Need front wheel weights?

Now kids don't try this at home. The electric company was cutting down some trees on my road so I hoped on my '41 9n cause it already has the 3PT platform on and shot down the road for some free wood. Load was a little too heavy for the last uphill section of my driveway. Kind of felt like Roy Rogers on Trigger. I'm use to steering with the brakes from tractor pulls but when platform hit the ground the engine stalled and left me high and dry. No big deal just drop the lift started the tractor, turned around and backed up the driveway. I guess I should have put on my front wheel weights.

Hank, my 8N, has the front bumper, cow-catcher, whatever you call it. I have a half dozen 60 lb. binder suitcase weights that hang nicely on the front when I need them. gm

i'm no fan of 3 wheeled vehicles, regardless of whether they have 3 wheels by design or accident.

when loading I would back up to an embankment and roll the logs on. It would have meant I would have to pick that smaller log up and over the bigger log and it was the end of the day and I was pretty tried from lifting logs. And yes if the logs were switch I probably would have made it up the hill. As you can see in the photo the much bigger log on the platform came up the driveway with no problem.

I have a full set, both split inners and full outters just didn't have them on the tractor. Normally would have hopped on the 4000 that has front weights but it still has the snowplow and chains still on.
