Got a brush cutter for my 9n. No position control. Can someone post a picture of how it's chained up?
Thanks

Pike ;
I assume you have the chains already??????
Like these....:

If you have these....then you can hook them up to level the brush hog as in these pix!!!

These pix are curtesy of and old member of this forum, (SEAN (TX).....SO I don't know exactly where to obtain the chains????

Thank you Gary. I have chain but will have
to find the bracket things I guess. Back to
the hardware department with me. Right next
to the BEER department at my local farm
supply

You can add position control to a 9 or 2N with Zane Sherman's 'Zane Thing'. It only take a few minutes to install and it will
be useful for other implements that need position control - like a carry all or a boom pole.

That chain kit is available from this site.

While visiting my relatives in Arizona a number of years ago, I saw a big billboard for "Jim's Beer and Guns".

I think H Cooke's suggestion is the best, but alternatively you don't necessarily need those brackets if you can pull a Clint Eastwood and improvise/adapt. :)

For example, if you have chain hooks by themselves on two or three link chains as your length adjust brackets hanging from the tractor, then you have your adjusters right there,

Bring the chain up from the lower arms and slip the appropriate link into your proper size chain hooks.

At the deck end I'm sure you can come up with rings or some sort of shackles for those ends of the chains.

I put a set of these chains on my mower on my 8n, works much better than position control on my tractor. Set it and mow.

I use limiter chains on my 8N also. The position control works perfectly but why have the hydraulics working to keep the mower at a certain height when the chains do just that?

You can also make small adjustments in the height by inserting lynch pins between two links like below.
