Guys.........my son, came up from Portland, Ore, (250-mi) to haul his ol'Dad to the Dr Office, GOOD NEWS: don't haffta take 2-kinds of insulin shots ennymore; BAD NEWS: 'stedda 5-pills, ittza 9-pills. (frown) I still have a leaky heel that a homecare nurse re-bandages every other day. And ittza OK to use a cane. Comeback in 3-mos and see the vampire again. I've been to some greasy spoon restaurants but this teriyaki place is a topper. The ONLY thang I recognized was the rice. Even the tea was insipid. Had the squirts when I got home. (whoops) Wooda been happier with a micky-dee. Just hadda vent ...er... squirt?.......the amazed Dell

Hey Dell, Glad you got some good news............. and the bad news ain't so bad!! I try to stay away from those kinds of eating places. Never quite sure what all the ingredients are and I don't know if the stray cats I've seen there are used for hunting the meal ingredients or used for the ingredients themselves. LOL

I don't hold out much hope that you will heed any of this because you are obviously firmly rooted in a full trust of traditional theory and pharmaceutical cures and have no fear a junk food/greasy spoon diet, but i will still try my hand at helping.
Type into Google: "The Truth About Diabetes" and do some serious research that you'll find will differ dramatically from mainstream conceptions and conclusions.
Not that it makes for any more reason to listen to my advice, but my grandmother Graham's second cousin on my Dad's side was Dr. Banting.
Don't say I nevr did nuthin' fer ya . . . but if after all this you still say it. . . well I tried and did so solely on your behalf.

Good news is good news. Especially when it comes to diabetes.
So far I have been lucky. Maybe I'm the skipped generation,
but my family has a long history with the diabetes as well.
Including my 12 year old niece who can do her own shots.
Unfortunately, we never found a good solution to the leaky sores.
