A buddy of mine knew I was looking for a disc, and spotted this about 6 miles from my property. I owe him a finders fee, or a beer. Beautiful condition, and the seller delivered it to me within an hour of cash changing hands. Now I just need a cultivator.

Those are perfect for a N why 24 disc I dunno if it were mine I would make it a 20 blade and be trying to come up with furrow fillers for the rear disc..

google "disc furrow fillers"
are "closer blades"

Grease it well and keep it greased... I had to use a air powered grease gun to break up the dried up grease, it took me a few years to get it free so it would take grease good...

Good deal. The Dearborn Lift Type E Disc Harrow used a special top link -see my picture. Get yourself an Assembly &Operation manual and a Master parts List -available for FREE download on the alternate Ford N-Series Tractor Site. You can email me for their LINK. I also have an extra original A&O manual I'd part with.

So now you have both a nice vintage plow and disc. Nice.
I do think that 24 discs might be a bit much for an N to pull. But try it first. If it works your tractor too hard you can pretty easily drop one disc from each gang and replace it with some kind of a small metal plate to keep things tight.
I pull an 8' Ford disc - 24 discs - with my 3000 and even with half again as much hp as your N it can make the tractor grunt.
I might have an original top link for that disc like Tim Daley shows. Loaned it to a buddy and never got it back.
If you are interested in it I could look into getting it back - if he still has it.

With the angle on it it should cut very well. You can sink it as far as you can and still pull it for the first few passes, then raise it for the last two to smooth the surface.

I don't know where you are located. On Monday, April 10 there is an annual antique tractor and equipment auction in Archbold, Ohio at Yoder and Frey auctions. I took a Dearborn 2 row cultivator there on Friday.
