Can you replace the hydrolic system on a 9n with one from an 8n? If so, what is involved with the replacement? Are any modifications necessary?

(quoted from post at 17:46:37 03/14/17) Will fit right in. Lift cover assembly and hydraulic pump. No changes to make.

thought there was a clearance issue with the main casting the the right rear corner & the position control mechanism, but I guess I was wrong in thinking that?

Yes, there is a casting "web" in the right rear corner that has to be removed , ran into that when I put a top cover and pump from a 48 8N into a 46 2N. Just line the cavity with rags and use a cut off wheel on a die grinder, it's not a very big piece to remove, but the top cover won't fit with it on there. If you're able to see both tractors took apart, it's easy to see what needs to be removed.
