OT Kiss4afrog Red Rag Rant

I hear ya on that tax once they get it and it never goes away. On the red rag deal its pure Racketeering. I had put a guaranteed forever rebuilt carb from a place in Fla on my suv. I put it on and after a month it started to act up. It was on a 2.8L GM and I had no choice but to go to a dealer. Well Mr. Goodwrench told me it needed a $90 part so I called the carb guy no ?s asked he sent it to the dealer. I went to pick my vehicle up and saw so many dollars for EPA charge on the bill--- ask the mechanic what it was for and he told me for rags sealants sprays and chemical and all things that were to be put in their dumpster. He told me on an engine rebuild it would be 10% or about $400 he said he had trouble sleeping with that kind of bill to a customer and the dealer just stuck $400 in their pocket. Long story short I bypassed the service manger and went to the top dog of the dealership and ask what it was for .. Well he said it was for this that and disposal of hazmat an EPA thing you know--- I said I dont know. We talked about it and said Ill pay it but I was going to call the EPA and see what they said about it as I new it was a crock of crap and nothing but a gimmick cow to milk. Well no sir he said lets keep the EPA out of this will let it go cause we want you to come back. Well you can guess how many times I been back. By the way I still called the EPA and told them what was going on anyway dont know if it went on any farther or not.
