Bought my first tractor today - 1950 Ford 8N

Well, it took 55 years...and buying a (very) small hobby farm last November. But I bought my first tractor yesterday. Found this in Allegany, NY. Need to bring it 25 miles up to my property in Machias, NY. Farmer I bought it from says it has the original drawbar, steering wheel, tool box and front wheel weights. Not to be too sentimental, but the first tractor I ever drove, age 6, was my grandfather's 8N. He'd love this one.

Looks like you've struck it rich!
You probably won't have to spend any time before putting it to use. Did he have any attachments he would part with? Now the collecting begins or you could do like many of the folks here . . . they have a tractor for each implement. :D

Wish I had your front weights!

great looking tractor
but if you are anything like me, you will need a front bumper, grill protector, whatever its called, also the front bumper will allow you to hitch things to the front, nice option to have sometimes.

for some reason, things just seam to jump out and want to dent the front grill and lower chin, anything to protect that radiator.

you mean they are not for hanging on the shed wall? That is where my two are.
