rear axle seal and bearing--2N

Hello everyone. I have yet another question. My left rear bearing seal is leaking and I'm wondering how to tell if the bearing has gone bad causing this or if it's just age. I have it apart but haven't removed the collar. The bearing seems smooth-no rough places, but I could hear the bearings making a 'clicking' noise when I turned the rear wheel with it off the ground. Plenty of good oil on the bearing, too. I have the manual but (to me) it's not very clear on shim adjustment, and maybe shims aren't what I need.

Hello Hobo. I went with the 'sure seal' as it was what I had in my 'stock' of parts. I see the axle isn't machined where the seal rides and I reckon it will still seep. I cleaned/degreased the drum assembly as best I could and if it lasts 10 years, well, that's more than my Doc gave me. The drum and axel assembly are way heavier than what I used to carry in my 'misspent youth'. Yeah, I'm taking Advil and it's not having much effect. Still, working on that old girl, older than I am, gives me a satisfaction that is rarely met. Thank's Hobo and you others for your comments and suggestions.
