How do you Clean antifreeze residue from front mount 8n dist

Radiator leaked on to the front mount dist on 1948 8N. I replaced the radiator and tried to clean the inside of the dist including letting it sit in the sun for two days before assembling. Ran brown paper bag material thru the points many, many times after using rubbing alcohol on the contacts. Now instead of cranking on the first turn of the engine, it is very hard to start, runs so poorly it will only stay cranked at half throttle. I think antifreeze leaves a oily residue. How would you clean your?
Thanks,
Copperhead

Pull the plate & weights out. Clean it carefully with mineral spirits on a rag. Don't get the solvent on the bushings. Put a light coat of oil on the bushings and weights.

Replace the points.

I use electronic tuner cleaner in an aerosol can if it's a misting.
It isn't exactly cheap, but it dries completely so it doesn't
affect the continuity of the electrical components later.
If it was completely doused in AF, then I'd take it apart and clean
it. I would still use the same cleaner, but re-oil on re-assembly.

Yeah, as Bruce said, mineral spirits works great for a parts cleaner. Got any charcoal lighter fluid? Same stuff. Lacquer thinner, paint thinner, almost same stuff too.
