I have NOT seen it in person yet.it has been on CL for 11 days.

I have that exact same one but mine isn't quite as rough as that one is. I have had mine for about 6 or 8 years and it works pretty well. I would think 300 would be as high as I would go.

I noticed the wear too. for as much as I would use it something like this will last the rest of my lifetime.

I will mention the wear when I talk to the seller.

if I buy from him I can avoid shipping charges and sales tax.

Ahhhh down here where I live I have an Agri Supply, Tractor supply and tractor dealerships within 20 miles of me. Never thought about shipping

I'm wondering how much of the blade sticks out below the box ends? When I bought my 8N, a rollover box blade came with it as did the mower. The scraper blade was worn down just about even with the box ends. I did manage to find a brand new blade for it. When I put the new blade on it, it sticks out about an inch and a half below the box ends and works a lot better than the old blade did. The blade on mine is also double edged. In other words when the edge finally wears down enough, the blade can just be flipped end for end to start with a brand new edge.

Check the wear on the one you're looking at and see if it can be flipped or has already been flipped. You might also check to see if replacement blades are available.

I have always found TSC to be higher than Agri Supply and has a smaller selection too. I can go to Agri Supply check with the guy watching the gate and walk the yard looking at new equipment. TSC acts like their little lot is Ft. Knox
