NAA Fluctuating Oil Pressure Update

Found the oil pressure fluctuation.

At first rebuild oil change, thought the oil pan was dented, but noticed that (as best I could tell from diagrams and pictures) that there was supposed to be some indention.

When I first put it together, noticed that the screen on the drain plug had to compress inside the pickup tube "can". I just attributed it the fit of Chinese parts.

Took it apart and checked everything good at the oil change. Pickup tube was tight with no cracks. Good gaskets, nothing else loose. Put the oil pan in my shop press and put a gentle tweak back down on it to remove some of the indention.

Turns out it WAS a bit dented in. Put it back together, checked alignment of the pick up tube and installed the plug. First thing noticed was the plug screwed all the way in this time without compressing the screen.

Weird solution. Tractor now starts, oil presssure climbs to 40-45 and is rock solid. Who'd a thunk that was it? Anyone know why?
