I advertised my browning auto 5 in a paper couple of weeks ago. a guy calls up and wants to see it.
after he is here a minute or two he says he was here about 15 years ago looking at a 8N I had for sale. well he did not buy the tractor but he bought the shotgun.:)

At least you know he isn't always a tire kicker. :)

I've looked at a few items and decided not to buy.
Sometimes I saw something I didn't like that the seller didn't see
or at least didn't mention. Things do get forgotten or overlooked.

Worse is when I see that it is obviously not as advertised.
I don't point that out and try to haggle, I say thank you for
your time, but I'm not interested.

I have done that often I hate to haggle over money for something either I buy it or I don't. I am not going to stand around and run down someone elses posessions

Amen to that. Being in business I hate people trying to haggle down the price of fuel. So, when I buy something , I just buy it or I don't.

Yes, but some people intentionally inflate the price because they anticipate haggling. If the item is fairly priced I pay without comment but if it has flaws or is overpriced I haggle.
