I am putting a new rear housing and trumpets on my 8N and I have no idea what serial number tractor they came from because it was just a bare rear housing and trumpets sitting in the salvage yard. I am not talking about the outer seals that bolt on to the trumpet housing but there is a lip type seal inside the trumpet. Does anyone have any idea what type of seals I need. The old ones were hard and cracked and by the time I got them out there was no way to get a good diameter measurement on them.

Probably these seals from the description.
Do your old trumpets have those seals?
The axles are different between the early 8Ns and the ones that
used the inner/dual seals.
If changing, you would need the newer axles for the seals to work.

ld, cast surface(without inner seal) and newer, machined surface (with inner seal).

For some reason when I click on the replys it says "this topic cannot be displayed" for some reason. I can see JMORS photo but none of the answers. I can open and read all of the others just not this one.

I got it in modern view I see what yall are talking about now if the axle is machined it takes a different seal, I am pretty sure I have the machined axles I am heading out to the shop and check
