I'm a first time tractor owner, trying to learn my way around my tractor. I've been dealing with a pinhole radiator leak on my 53 Jubilee. I added some Bars Leaks to the radiator. While I was letting the tractor idle and warm up, I noticed fluid leaking from behind the starter, running down and dripping from the bell housing. I caught some of it in a pan, it looks like thin, dirty oil. I couldn't tell if it was engine oil or trans fluid. I've only had the tractor a short while, and never worked it at all, just drove it around the block a few times. The tractor has had a small leak from one of the hydraulic lines that I've yet to repair, and that was what I thought was the source of the drip at first. But on closer inspection, it's coming from behind the starter, and also seems to be coming from a hole on the other side through the hole you can view the flywheel through. I drained the transmission and only got about a gallon if thin, dirty looking fluid out. I'm going this evening to get new trans fluid. I read some other posts describing similar problems, and I checked the cotter pin drain underneath, it didn't seem to be plugged. Any ideas what the issue could be?
Also, I don't know if could be at all related, but I took the oil air cleaner cup off and it was full of greasy water. I replaced it with fresh oil before running it today.
