Stabilizer Bar Length

Gents,

I'm trying to get some stabilizer arms for my 8N and the ones I picked up from TSC (31.5" C-C) are too long for my tractor. The distance from center of the front stabilizer pin to the center of the pin on my brush hog is approximately 28-1/4".

Any ideas on what might be wrong?

Pins must be lined up like this. Possibly put the wrong side. Switch brackets from axle to axle.

Ah, I see. Heaven only knows how long it's been like this or when it was swapped. It was like this when I inherited it last April and I have no idea how it got that way. I'll switch the brackets around the next chance I get as there's only one hole for the pin in each bracket.

Thank you gentlemen!

The stabilizer brackets on my tractor have slotted holes on the mounting surface so this give you added flexibility to insure you get them
mounted properly,
