I have a pic of a PTO cover from an auction bundle that I don't know what it belongs to other than a red tractor. Would any one here know what this might belong to ? Or just pitch on iron scrap pile ?
I'm a green man. ([b:2a6f5c4610]Of course Oliver green !!![/b:2a6f5c4610])
Thanks !

That's not a Dearborn shield you can see in the pictures a difference. Looks like a H or M Farmall to me. Don't pitch it!! Someone would buy that up in no time.

I never had a cover till I brought a new tractor several years ago.
I thought it will have to go but its not been a problem so it stays.

I concur it is Farmall PTO cover and not a Ford/Dearborn one. The Ford N-Series tractor used a screw in PTO cover as shown second from left in picture below. Furthest to the left is the later/aftermarket style, possibly used when they went to the larger ASE 1-3/8" diameter PTO shaft as I believe they are a tad longer. I just use the sleeve adaptor, also shown, when I run my mower, baler, or manure spreader with the larger PTO drive.

ya, tim - the one on the left is what came with the longer shaft when i converted to 1 3/8".
