Funk V8 conversion for Ford 8N

Jack.......outta 1/2-million 4-speed 8N's, only about 250 had dealer installed "Funk" V8-kits. About 6000-8000 had inline 6-cylinder conversions. Inline-6's have better low speed torque for plowing. The LAST real Funk-V8 I heard sold was a very nice example from Palmer Fossom's estate sale for $20,000?

There are several V-8 conversion kits available for do-it-yourself. I think a better conversion is Chevy V-6 as it does NOT change wheelbase or lift the gastank/hood for clearance.

I gotta admit, a full-dress flatty is pure eye-candy. Good-Guys Nationals this weekend in Puyallup Wash. Gonna go slobber over a few hot-rods. ........Dell
