Had a good time at the auction Saturday. I am still a bit confused about why the Jeststar 3 propane sold so high. Can anyone shed some light on how many propane JS3?s were made in 67? It was a nice tractor, I just did not think it was that nice or rare. Kind of felt the same about the U302 propane, it was not near as nice and both rear rims were rotten. Anyway it was a nice collection. Here is the link to the results.

They made 444 JS3 LP from 1964 to 1969 and 10 in 1970. That's less than 10% of total production. They made 56 in 1967.

Here are a couple pictures of the Jet Star 3. I also was curious about the price. Also Grandpa you have gotten a good looking R and you made a good deal on it.

324 non supers of 475 total 1964-1969. My first number of 444 total was a little off. So only 161 Super JS3 LP were produced including the 10 in 1970.

For JS3 there is no such thing as a standard. A fixed front axle was optional but there were no order codes for Standard tractors as a whole. The Base JS3 had an adjustable front axle. I won't be trying to figure out JS3 LP Standards anytime soon.
