Need injector line for G900

I've got a friend who had a G900 that has a pretty serious leak from the injector line going to number 2 injector. He brought it to me the other day, and I discovered the tapered ferrel where it seals to the injector, was loose on the line. I heated it a little, and used an old injector to tighten it up on, and got it back tight on the line. He's got it back on, and it's still leaking. I suspect it's got a small crack right above the ferrel, but the way the line curves, the nuts too close to ferrel to get the area cleaned up enough to inspect, or fix.

That being said, has anybody run into this kind of thing before, on these lines, and if so, how did you fix it. If not repairable, has anybody got any idea where I can come up with a new, or used, line? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Any good diesel shop should be able to make an injector line...Just bring the old one for a pattern..

I'll bet the line is cracked BEHIND the nut. Those Ermeto sleeves usually are loose with the line out. Original American Bosch part number was SV 7922, Weatherhead 7165 X 4 will replace it too. When new, sleeve is really loose on the line, with nut on, then sleeve, make sure the line is through the sleeve before the nut is drawn tight. Sleeve will then crimp onto the line and stay on after that, BUT it may still turn on the line when line is removed from injector or hydraulic head fitting.
