Traction Control / Draft Control First MM to have it ?

Maybe 335/445 and 4 star, 5 star. All
available with ampli-torque as well
as 3 point with draft control. 335
replaced the R, 445 replaced the Z,
4 star after the 445, and 5 star
replaced U (UB). All built in late
50s.

If you are referring to the shift on
the go underdrive: ampli-torque.
Counterpart to IH torque amplifiers,
MF Multipower among others.

I am interested in finding the traction control name.

Other Brands called it:

Allis "Traction Boost"
Ferguson "Draft Control"
Ford "Draft Control"
John Deere "Load and Depth Control"

Tel-O-Flo was the only name they used for the Hyd system. TEL translates to telegraph the load to the hydraulic system. FLO to be able to operate the 3-PT, remote cylinders, ether single or double acting.
MMDEL

From the M5 Operators manual index. Tel-O-Flo is hydraulics on the M5 generation tractors. Not sure if that incorporated the traction/draft control too.

I am looking for what MM called it on the 335/445 generation tractors.

Thanks

Ok..... narrowing down a little at a time.....

So i would be looking for "NAME" of the draft/traction control systrm that would have been on the "Z" and "U/UB Model tactors ???

Any of you have a manual for those tractors ?

Maybe share a photo of the index page and possibly the page that shows the system ?

Thanks in adavance !!!

Only system U or Z had was the Uni- matic and the Avery/MM was called Tru-Draft. Hitchor
was another setup used on a R.

What, exactly, are you trying to determine?

The MM traction and draft control system was the Tel-O-Flo, which came out after the Z and U tractors.

The Z, U, many of the R, and the BF had the Uni-Matic hydraulic systems. The Uni-Matic only controlled remote cylinders on draawn equipment, and cultivator lifts via a rockshaft. No traction control with that system.

Here is my original post:
What was the first MM to have Traction Control / Draft Control systems ?
Thanks in advance.

To continue.
The Z and U tractors were manufactured from 1938-1948 per TracterData.com. Although they would have had hydraulics. That seems kinda early for a draft control system. Did MM possibly add that feature in the later production years of the Z and U tractors ?

The ZB and UB came out in 1953-1955 that seems more parallel with the time frame that most other manufactures draft and traction control systems came out.

Just trying to get accurate information for a research paper.

MM did not have a true 3 pt till 1956. No R Z or U UB ZB ever had a 3pt. In 56 the 335 445
5 star all could be ordered with 3 pt. Teleflo was second after the Type c. No others.
When MM bought Avery they in early 50's the Avery 3pt system was used, to me not a true
MM.

I drove the very first 335 out dealer got. Its hyd was a little different than later ones. Seems had more linkage on the outside. He even got a ZB after he got the 335. The zb had power steering, independent pto. (Lever on bull pinion) and 3 point hitch. Hitch used MM cylinder. No draft control. Way better tractor than a 445. Never came in for anything.

First 3 point has no duty and cycle levers on valve body. There was a serial number break
in early 1957 when change was done.
