GTB Crank Jaw/Pin Help

We have been restoring a 1952 GTB, and have struggled to free the crank pin that passes through the lower radiator tank. The shaft itself appears to be seized inside the bore with 60+ years of rust, dirt, etc. I would like to know how these crank pins are put together, as it appears to be two pieces fastened together. There is the cast iron outer crank jaw for your hand crank to engage with, and then a smaller diameter steel shaft that passes through the lower rad tank and engages with the crank jaw on the end of the crankshaft. I am guessing there must be a spring incorporated somewhere to retract these shafts once the engine fires up?
Anybody got any pictures, a parts explosion for this part of the tractor or can explain in words how this crank mechanism is constructed and would be removed regularly? We want it fixed and to work properly, but don't want to damage our rad during the process.
