Smoking Black

Had the pump turned up on my 670 wondering if i should put a pyro gauge in it? It was only turned up 10% but i also moved timing (advanced). It now hazes black most of the time haven't really had a chance to work it real hard with the snow but plan on plowing 40+ acres when and if this snow melts. Don't want to burn it down. I'm not new to diesels but iv never had a diesel tractor I got 4 dodge cummins and none of them are stock lol. I'd like to think it'd be find but other opinions are more than welcome. Thanks

For maximum power set your timing on the
marks. Yes the advanced timing sounds like
you get more power, but a dyno will prove
it otherwise.

MM diesels don't have a lack of fuel
problem. They lack air. If you want more
power look at the intake side.

I'm satisfied with the power but should I still be worried bout the EGTS if I leave it set the way it is? Probably will turn timing back.

I wouldn't think 10% would be a problem if you put the timing
back but someone else may know something I dont.

Most of the MM pumps, about 10% is all you
can get out of them without changing parts.
I doubt you have enough fuel to cause any
damage.
