Difference in bar grill u hoods

I noticed a difference in 2 hoods . I was wondering if the one had to be from a straight block u . The difference in number of holes is what i was wondering about. If the one with less holes can help anyone please let me know.

If the U has the KEF engine, it only has 1 Breather hole because it uses only one valve cover. If it has the later 283 engine with paired blocks, there are two breather holes, one for each valve cover.

As far as I know, all the other holes are the same except that the radiator cap hole. It will have a notch in it to clear the overflow tube on pressurized radiator systems.

Also a little difference in side shields.
