as you cab see no damage to the output stud or hold down clamp. bought this tool off the snap-on truck about 20 years ago and have broken hundreds of nuts off with it.

no damage to the output stud! can tell iv'e been working on to many welders  I meant to say manifold stud!! on well it's been a long day.

All the older MM's used brass nutson exhaust. Twin City is even easier to work on. Took
whole 95 year old tractor
apart with flat wrenches. All nuts and bolts are nickel plated.

I have the K-D version. Looks like they gave you a lever to keep yours from turning. I use mine pretty often.

(quoted from post at 15:39:30 03/24/18) Anytime I install a manifold I use brass nuts
. F. I am going to run a 1/2" die down each stud to clean them up, and I was planning to use the same locking style nuts that where on there, could you explain why you use brass nuts? (i'm asking because I don't know) and another question T.F. what do you torque the manifold to?

A brass nut will never rust tight to the steel stud. The same worst that will happen is the threads will pull out of the nut, since they are soft. I like using stainless nuts with anti seize. Torque it to about 40 FT/LBS should be fine. Make sure the manifold is flat with a straight edge. Usually the new castings distort and are not flat

checked the manifold for square chris when I got it back from being repaired looks good, thank you for the torque spec.
