(quoted from post at 23:51:32 03/11/18) sshhh rodger i'm trying to bid on the m5 and the baler, keep it down ssshhhh.

3600 plus ten percent buyers premium with 7 days to go on a non running G705 with a Coleman FWD. I’m feeling pretty good about what I have in my G706.

My dad's neighbor used to own that M5 was a decent running machine but it hasent run in over 10 years since Wikkerink bought it he just bought it to look at lol. Dont know nothing bout the rest of em.

I think that's ridiculous lol but good for anyone that has one that wants to sell. There is a field ready 705 4x4 on Craigslist for 6k. And that don't have a buyers premium. Don't think that Vista was no deal either being the engine crankcase was plum full of water and no hydraulic fluid even registering on the dip stick. Started it up and let it run for over 20mins and it never came out of the bad miss it has.

Ya I had a few bids on the vista but glad I pulled out when I did.

I watched the 760 baler sell for 2k!? And then the uni picker for 3900. Didn't know they were that rare lol. Keep in mind very few tractors on auction actually ran. Pretty price to pay for something you can't even even try out.

I guess but I doubt my 670 Diesel completely rebuilt would bring 5k even tho iv got way more in it than that and mine runs. Just makes me wonder some times.

Ya 3,000 for a fair shape non running m5.

I'd sell the pair of non running M5's I've got sitting out back for what that one sold for! The RTI and one G went really high also. Not sure why. I managed to buy the G with no front wheels, and some fenders and parts. Was hoping to get two tractors so the trailer would be full. Oh well more money for the auction at the convention Saturday.

Chris, any thoughts to the high prices? For the last couple years the general forum here says markets are dead. Maybe it’s because the 10’s of thousands M’s and a JohnDeeres wil never be rare?

WOW at those kinds of prices I better get my fat butt in gear and get my m5's washed and polished up  on second thought naaa not for sale. will be interesting to see if this continue over the summer?

It really blows my mind why these tractors brought what they did...only 4 or 5 of them actually ran the rest my have but since they don't how can you test the machine out to actually see what it's like? I can't believe ppl paid over "running tractor" prices for non running tractors. Just very different prices than what I have seen i guess.

And with a 10 percent buyers premium.

The people here that claim the bottom dropped out must be collecting farmall and John Deere where thousands of each model were produced.

People seem to get more carried away with an online auction. I did not go preview anything. I think the auctioneer did a very good job with pictures. I could tell most of the stuff was well used and needed TLC. Either people didn't look very close at the pictures, or everyone needed to spend their tax returns. I do know U's tend to bring more money in Wisconsin. Lots of tractor pullers on a budget and small farms. Scrap is on the up right now, so that helps too. Salvage will always bring what it is worth across the scale, if not more. So the tough looking stuff sells higher than we are used to in the past year. I have been selling a lot of parts since the first of the year. I know grain prices have not increased enough to put farmers on a spending spree. It does seem like the tractor market is picking up a bit this spring. We will have to see how the year unfolds. Pioneer power swap meet is always a good judge to how the year will be.
