Runs fine for an hour or so. Then acts like I hit the kill switch. If I'm fast enough, I can pull in the clutch and throttle down and it'll stay running. If not, I just crank it and it fires right up again. Then runs fine for another 5 minutes and acts up. I rebuilt the carb but hasn't helped. Has original 6 volt system. What do you guys think?

That’s a great idea. Going to try it on some tractors that seem to have sediment problems even after cleaning tanks. Thanks.

Had similar problem with my UB. Tank outlet fitting was flush with bottom of tank and rust or trash flakes were partially blocking the fuel outlet. Took a rifle cartridge, some JB Weld and a drill and cured the problem. Any small particles that get through the holes will pass on to the sediment bowl and will be screened out.

sure appears like the same thing i just finished doing on my U . the gas tank had rust in it and was plugging the outlet line. plus there is no stand pipe inside like the sediment bowls have so all rust sediment runs right into the line. i removed tank and threw in a bunch of 1/2"nuts and shook the heck out of it with some gas in it , drained and repeated about 4 times till all junk seamed gone. runs good now. plus when it acts up, remove line from sediment bowl and you will see you dont have good fuel flow. also when it acts up pull choke and if it runs better that confirms you have a gas problem.

If you think it is fuel related. I would check the fuel cap for a vented one. It maybe coming vapor locked. If it is an electrical issue it maybe a bad or weak coil coil.

New fuel cap. I did go through the tank and picked out junk that was in there. It's very clean inside
