4 Star paint

We are getting ready to paint a 1959 4 Star. Having trouble finding paint? We determined we need Late Prairie Gold/Prairie Gold#3 and Metallic Brown. Where can we get this paint? We are not going to fancy but would like a decent single stage paint. Thanks

Stamm Tractors listed it in their ad in the last MM Corresponder magazine. Phone No. is (785)325-2720. E-mail is www.stammtractors.com. They list both the PG3 and Bronze Metallic.

Call Stamm's they will fix you right up. I got my paint through them for my 4 Star, same colors as you, I also bought the thinner and hardner through them and it went on real well. I am a first time painter, and you can get a few rattle cans later for touch up. Would make you a deal on a gallon of the bronze metallic. 3 1 1 mix ratio.

I painted my m5 last spring and got the paint from keystone in st. Cloud minnesota their number 800-247-0861 and talk to Kurt. They mixed on site and were recommended to me by a local mm collector. It wasn't cheep but looks real nice their numbers were 61538 bronze poly for the metallic bronze and 84464 yellow for the prairie gold 3 this was in the ppg omni paint just mixed harder and thinner and it sprayed real nice. One note the metallic paint takes a lot to cover well get plenty I only had a gallon and wished I would have had a quart more for the m5 and your 4star is about the same size physically. I had a gallon of the pg3 and didn't use it all I think I have a quart left. I'll post another reply in a few minutes with a picture.
