10206SWMO, you got the serial number's for the first batch of UDLX also ? Or does anybody? Or was there just the 1 run of tractors?

First batch 310001-25 were UOPn(UTX cabless). Next batch were UTS in the sequence 475 then 125 Udlx starting at 310500 then back to UTS serials to complete year. UTU appeared following year. Don't have book handy. Just going by memory.

Ok, there was a guy in Aberdeen South Dakota, Al Nordstrom, he sold his MM collection, a while back, but he was suppose to had one with a cab, the serial no 1, my son talked to him years ago,but he's really sick now ! He also had the 445 crawler, and that was serial no 2 off the line. but that's sold too!

On the first run the Monroe family in Iowa dug #310001 (1st one)out of a gravel pit over 35 years ago and restored it...Heres 3 pictures..Its now in Minnesota...On the second run Paul Weiss in Iowa restored #310501 (1st one) and its been sold several times since then..A couple of years ago it was only 100 miles from me..I dont think I ever had the Nordstrom one on my list..

I hadn't heard Al sold his collection. I heard he is not well. I knew him when he quit stock car racing but his son Randy raced for a number of years against us. The UDLX he had originally came from Van Stewart, Onida SD by way of someone in MN. I first saw it in Onida sitting in trees and had been used for pto power on a grain auger. It sat for a number of years and Van pulled it into his shop, fresh fuel and a battery and it ran. Van had it ready for Onida's centennial after I found him a tire at Meyers Salvage, Aberdeen, SD.

OK, my son, Todd talked to him couple of times, he had a surgery that went bad, so i want to wish him the very best. But everybody around Aberdeen knew him,and said he was the real deal.

Bldg. in background is Stewart and Sons business. Farm supply and propane dealer. Van also farmed a lot of acres.
